Free Personal Web-Page Instructions

1.) Send an e-mail to support@Keyway.net requesting your personal web page be enabled.

2.) Create your web pages on your computer using any standard HTML editor.

3.) Once you have received confirmation of your Web address, you can access your WWW directory by using an FTP program to connect to www.keyway.net. Login to www.keyway.net using your regular login ID and password. You will be placed in a 'default' directory when the FTP software connects. There will be a subdirectory called "public_html". Any files placed into the "public_html" subdirectory will be visible to the outside world. A freeware ftp program is available at: ftp://ftp.keyway.net/pub/software/win3/ws_ftp.zip

4.) Place the files you want other people to be able to view in the public_html directory

5.) Your WWW information can be viewed by pointing your Web browser at: www.keyway.net/~Login Name where "Login Name" is replaced by your actual Login ID.

6.) General Info:
- Some scripts are available, please ask if you need a script.
- Custom scripts are allowed, but must be submitted to support@keyway.net for installation.
- Whenever you create a directory, the default document that will be displayed should be named index.html
- Web pages generating over 100Mb of traffic per month may have access restrictions placed on them to prevent overload conditions.
- Web pages that cause extreme overload conditions may be removed or billed at commercial rates.
- Maximum storage for Free Personal Web pages is 5 megabytes.
- Personal Web Pages are not to be used for business purposes and do not included domain pointers or business class services.

FTP'ing with FrontPage

Once creating or editing your web pages select from the file menu "Publish Web".

Specify the location of your web server and select whether you desire to send only changed pages (recommended) or all pages. Click "Publish".

Enter your user id and password. Call 909-933-3650 if you have forgotten your password.

Your pages will send to the server. Once completed, refresh your browser to view the new live pages.
