E-mail Settings

Note your User ID should not contain "@keyway.net"

SMTP Authentication is required for dialup users.

Secure Password Authentication is not required.

Online Webmail is now free for all Keyway members.

The following is a walk-through for setting up Outlook Express for the first time:

Go to 'Tools' -> 'Accounts' -> 'Add' -> 'Mail'

Display Name: (as you wish, example: John Smith)

Click 'Next' ->

Email Address: (example: johnsmith@keyway.net)

Click 'Next' ->

My incoming mail server is a [POP3] Server.

Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP, HTTP) server: mail.keyway.net

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server: mail.keyway.net

Account Name: (example: johnsmith)
Password: as appropriate

(User name and password are case-sensitive)

Log in Using Secure Password Authentication is NOT checked.

Click 'Next' -> 'Finished'  -> 'Close'

NOTE:  If you are a dialup user, you must enable SMTP authentication if you wish to send outgoing mail through our server.  To do this, choose 'Tools', 'Accounts', then click on the 'Mail' tab.  Highlight the keyway.net email account in the window of configured accounts, and choose 'Properties' to the left.   Click on the 'Server' tab and check the box that reads "My server requires authentication."
